Disney Cruise Line in Early 2027: Where the Ships Sail

If you are planning a winter or spring cruise on Disney Cruise Line, early 2027 offers several homeports and itinerary types. Here is a guide to the main deployments announced so far and how to think about choosing among them.

Homeports and itineraries

Based on published deployment information, early 2027 includes these main patterns:

  • Disney Fantasy sails Bahamian and Caribbean cruises from Port Canaveral, Florida, from January through early June.
  • Disney Magic sails Caribbean and Bahamian cruises from Galveston, Texas, from January through late April, with a Panama Canal repositioning cruise from Galveston to San Diego in late April or early May.
  • Disney Wonder sails Baja and Mexican Riviera cruises from San Diego from January through late April, then repositions to Vancouver for the Alaska season.
  • Disney Adventure continues sailing three- and four-night, all-at-sea itineraries from Singapore from January through August 2027.

Disney Cruise Line has also announced that Marvel Day at Sea will be featured on early 2027 sailings from Galveston aboard Disney Magic.

Other ships, including Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny, and Disney Wish, also have early-2027 deployments. Confirm their current itineraries on the Disney Cruise Line site before booking, because deployments are updated regularly.

Choosing a winter sailing

Short getaway from Florida. Bahamas cruises from Port Canaveral are the easiest to combine with a Walt Disney World trip, and they include the line's private island destinations.

Warm-weather sailing from Texas. Galveston sailings offer Caribbean and Bahamian ports and are convenient for travelers in the south-central United States.

West Coast cruising. San Diego sailings to Baja and the Mexican Riviera suit travelers on the West Coast who want a shorter trip.

Asia-Pacific. Disney Adventure's short sailings from Singapore are designed for travelers in the region or those combining a cruise with an Asia trip. Itineraries are all at sea, with no port stops.

What to consider

  1. Booking windows. Popular winter and spring-break sailings sell out early, and Castaway Club members get early access to new itineraries.
  2. Ship differences. Newer ships have different dining, entertainment, and stateroom options, so compare ships rather than choosing only by itinerary.
  3. Weather. Winter cruises in the Caribbean and Bahamas are typically pleasant, but cooler fronts can bring rougher seas in some areas.
  4. Embarkation logistics. Arrive the day before when possible, especially if flying.
  5. Spring break and Easter. Easter is March 28, 2027, so sailings in that window are among the most in demand.

What's coming next

Disney Cruise Line has announced that Disney Believe, the next Wish-class ship, is planned for 2027, with details to come. A new class of ships is planned for later in the decade. Check the official site for updates before you book a sailing tied to a new ship.

Our take

For first-time Disney cruisers, we usually recommend a Bahamas sailing from Port Canaveral, since it combines easily with a Walt Disney World stay and includes the private island. Travelers who want something different can look at Galveston or San Diego for convenience. Whichever you choose, book early for spring break dates.
